Caprotti Black 5 - Plain Bearing version

This model makes the Caprotti valve gear versions of the versatile LMS Black 5 numbered in the 44738 – 44747 series.

The kit includes resin firebox, saddle, cylinders and camboxes. Loco frames are nickel silver with brass superstructure including a pre-rolled boiler. Castings are a mixture of lost wax brass and nickel silver, whitemetal and 3D prints.

Supplied with a part-welded tender with plain bearing axleboxes.

Available Spring 2026. We expect that kits will be available for the Guild Summer Show at Wigan.
